We are over-comers
1.John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
The new creation is victorious. We are born of God, we are united with God, we are partakers of God’s nature. He lives in us, the same power that has raised Jesus from the dead lives in us and gives us Life, Health and Strength to be successful in God’s business. We have everything in us to be over-comers of evil, which includes sickness, disease, death, depression, etc.
Romans 8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Victory on the Cross
Christ’s triumph on the Cross was complete, lacking nothing. This should likewise be true of every believer. Romans 8:37 states, “Yet in ALL things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
The three words, “more than conquerors,” is one word in the Greek – hupernikao. It means literally to be super victorious. The practice of sin has fallen victim to the super victorious! Do you know Christians that do not have complete victory in their lives? If you do, then one of two things may have happened. Either they gave their victory (their right of inheritance) away by an act of their own will – or it was stolen from them (guess who would steal it). Christ’s victory is no guarantee that we are immune to Satan or his demons. But we claim by faith that we are completely victorious and the enemy has to flee.
